Daruma dolls have a round shape, symbolizing resilience and the ability to bounce back. They represent the idea of getting back up even after falling and continuing to strive until you achieve your goals.
Traditionally, one eye is filled in when a goal is set, and the other is filled in upon achieving it, serving as a pwerful reminder of determination and perseverance.
The round shale is modeled after Bodhidharma, founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism. Darumas are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, making them a popular gift of encouragement.
Comes with two small felt eyes to attach.
Kimekomi dolls are traditional Japanese dolls made from a mixture of paulownia powder and glutinous rice flour. The kimono fabric is carefully tucked into groove son the doll's surface, completing the unique kimekomi process.
