Stationery Store Day, much in the way of Record Store Day or Independent Bookstore Day, is a day carved out for everyone who loves paper to celebrate and lift up the most special specialty store: the paper shop!

Stationery Store Day started in 2022 when owner of Calliope, Kristina Burkey, sought out to find and support independently-owned stationery shops. Now, the first Saturday in August known as Stationery Day has spread worldwide.
